BASS GUITAR TRUSSROD
- Twin bar steel truss rod to be used for straightening/adjusting electric or acoustic guitar neck.
- The length is approximately580mm and will fit into a 6.5mm slot rebated into the guitar neck before fitting the fretboard
- An allen key can be used to tension the rod which will cause it to flex. This allows some degree of adjustment to the straightness of the neck.
- Generally the truss rod is set into the guitar neck with epoxy resin before gluing the fingerboard, and before final shaping and finishing of the neck.
- This trussrod is double acting, ie. it can be tightened in either direction and will cause the neck to be flexed in either direction. This adjustment is to ensure the string height is correct along the length of the neck.
