8 BASS GUITAR PICKUP SCREWS NICKEL
[EGSCREWSBASSLONG8NIC] £4.67
Quantity:
A pack of 8 nickel plated 35mm dome head pickup mounting screws.
These screws are used to fix the pickups to a bass guitar.
These screws are pointed (wood screws) to be screwed into the guitar body.
The shaft is 2mm thick and the head is about 5mm across.
This type of screw is used for fender type precision bass and jazz bass pickups
and other types of fender pickup mounting.
This type of screw can be used for most pickups that are fixed directly to the body of the guitar,
rather than the types that are mounted on the guitar pickguard.
Nickel or chrome
There is much debate over whether to use nickel or chrome plated parts.
Nickel and chrome look similar, however when side by side the nickel tends to be
a slighlty more yellow shade of silver while the chrome tends to be slightly more blue.
Nickel plated is more traditional and was used exclusively until the mass production
of chrome parts for use in the car industry made chrome the more common. Now chrome tends to be much more common,
although many old guitars would have been produced with nickel plated parts.
We stock both nickel and chrome parts.
